Nope, haven't done the LDR thing and doubt very much I'd go through it at this stage in my life.

LDRs suit some people, not others.
I don't want one as I want to be able to meet the person on a regular basis, not have a date every few months/years. That would just be too frustrating for me, it isn't natural.
Some people consider themselves to be in a relationship without never having met the person at all. That is not even an LDR. They live in a fantasy world.
Relationships involve physical contact and interaction.

For me now, an LDR is anything more than an hour's drive away
Of course there are people in other countries that I could potentially like, but the simple fact is that they are in another country and therefore a relationship is unfeasible and unsustainable. So I don't pursue it.
