annaroach: I wish it would be legalised here, if it is as good as it is reported to be,
maybe we could all benefit from it
It takes time....long ago alcohol went through this...

Lilith10: Think many are wondering the same.
IMO?...it will only lead to more drastic drugs, if ONE is disposed to it in the first place!

I have never been......and I have good reasons for using it, and did all my research

Pot got me off of snorting rye whiskey as a means to calm the shakes from my heroin addiction, and the only reason was to get of the nicotine addiction. Seriously....I suffer from cluster headaches....opiates, pot....no effect...shrooms. acid. mescaline...great potential. I guess it all depends on how you wish to utilize what nature has provided. Most mammalians can deal with the alcohols created by the fermentation of plant biomass...as an occasional "experience!" And then there are those Homo sapiens......then again....just an old hippie trying to save a whale or two...

I can discuss pharmacopeia at advanced university levels. Ethanol is an organic alcohol....nothing really complex about its chemistry. Maybe time for a blog for intelligent discussion (although I am already involved in seven such...) The time is nigh that Canada will no longer justify this plant as medicinally valuable. It is a feel good drug. Yes, it can relieve some pain and some conditions....so can opiates....I guess what I am trying to say is that cannabis should not be legalized based on its medical properties alone, but rather, that it is an accepted "drug" in society. Anyeways, fodder for a blog....ONE year to go (stay low my plants, stay low!)

Wow Moose!

I suffered from migraines my whole life, which is why I chose to smoke cannabis long ago, its the only thing that worked for me. Tried all the pharmaceutical stuff, did not help me, only gave me more issues on top.
I have not tried all those other things you mentioned, but Im sure there are medicinal properties as well.
Like all plants on this earth, meant to be used for a cure for something, not synthetic man-made pills.jmo

Anyways, loved Cheech and Chongapplause grin

Lilith10: Hiya

I think the difference I was referring too with oil versus combustible is the fact that the oils are much more potent (at least to me) and I dont have to wreck my lungs using the oil, as opposed to smoking it.
Thats what I was getting at anyways. Trying to save my lungs here

I guess we are fortunate to be given priority which is fine by me. I read somewhere ...where they wont be able to keep up the supply but I can still grow my own

Nice to see you back here

Potency depends on who you know! ;-) It is the same drug....we are simply speaking of the mode of introduction. Remember,,,,365 days before you grow, and keep a tape measure handy (and learn to tell the difference between male and female cannabis plants...)

Not sure on migraine research....the ergotines and psilococybin studies were directed at cluster headaches (aka suicide headaches)....Nearly fifty years an educated "druggie"....I am just chuckling at all the discussion these days....but at least (and finally) legalisation (fingers-crossed) is getting closer! Cannabis is like aspirin (derived from Salix spp)....definitely with medical properties, but it isnot, imho, the "panacea" so many claim it to be. Man-made synthetic pills are for the most part, simple pharmacological mimics of what already exists. There have also been times were these, "man-made" revamps have been "better" than nature's provisions. Foxglove provides Digitalis for cardiac rhythm stabilization, but there are far superior analog creations with less side effects than raw digitalis....then again, I babble....rolling on the floor laughing

This subject is a point of babbles for nearly 50 years! rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing So, campfire talk #1. There are but three species of cannabis...sativa, indica, and ruderalis (although some botanists place ruderalis as a sativa sub-species). This is at a botanical species taxonomy. If this is argued, then all I can suggest is an attempt to graduate high-school before engaging with me again. Let me know when you are ready for Campfire Talk #2

That's good news, Moosey

Hopefully it will happen here before too long too.

At the moment, people have to go abroad for medicinal marijuana even for serious cases? Or risk breaking the law.
