While driving along a road in Germany, enjoying to beautiful scenery, I saw an American flag flying amongst the beautiful trees. It actually made my heart skip a beat. Or possibly the moment I saw the Leaning Tower of Pisa...at night!

ostriches running along side the car as you leave Cape Aguhlas or the baboons waiting for you to stop at the cross roads so they can climb on the car and harass you till you feed them... Its a stunning walk along the top of the Mountain, the view is breathtaking, even for a seasoned traveller...

I'm not that patriotic, so seeing any flag would probably make me shudder, and not in delight... but the Tower, thats another story...

I can still vividly remember my first face to face with a black bear... I was walking along the road on Cortes Island BC, when it appeared from the bushes on the side... we both stopped dead in our tracks in shock, then the bear slowly started to back up and bolted through the bush, albeit a tad slower that I was running up the road...not one to relive, and I didn't have fresh undies with me at the time either...

Oh yes, and a picnic on the lawn of the winery in Stellenbosch, ,
the penguins on Boulders beach ,, i could go on and on , it is wonderful.

However, on a more serious note, I'd like to experience again the time when my kids were just toddlers and both my maternal grandparents fussing over them.....doting on them.
I miss those days.....
