There was a time when we just acknowledged the obvious things in ordinary language ... like that every village had it's idiot, that some people were a sandwich short of a picnic .

We said those those things understanding that people were 'different' and there was never any malice in it ...

Then we get the heady mix of psychiatric diagnoses ( opinions from drug peddling a*ses ) and political correctness ( limitations on what can be said imposed by politically motivated a*ses ) and that's led to a full blown pandemic of 'helpless' and 'hopeless' people who have been told that they have no hope of recovery ever.

The justice systems of most civilised countries do not, except in very rare circumstances, allow a person to be imprisoned without hope of release ... and yet psychiatrists can impose such sentence without even a trial?

Somehow that seems not quite right !
