hahaha ...l write a new budget every month, $in, $out, account for every cent ...save $500 into a credit card account, $100 into a retirement investment account maturing in 3 years ...property tax payments are quarterly, so my yearly budget is 4wks4wks5wks=13weeksX4 ...$300 is carried over from the 2nd 4wks to the 3rd 5wk month to pay the evil city property tax 4X a year ...writing a budget is a learned survival tactic, that l evolved over the last 20-30 years ...there have been a lot of tough years, especially since 2000, malnutrition, learnt to take a vitamin pill 3X a week ...the car got a flat battery in the winter of 2001, so l left it in the driveway (still there) & started walking to the supermarket, etc, plus to town twice a month to pay the credit card, bank mortgage, insurance, property tax, electricity, water, etc ...anyway you get the picture ...l adapted my budget to each change in my circumstances over the years ...paid off the mortgage/credit card/property tax ...changed to a Low lnterest Credit Card ...basically the Bank, the Insurance, the Income Tax, the Utilities, Property Tax, Child Support, etc, rip as much money out of you, for as long, as you are stupid enough to let them.

Okay, ways to save money ...l can tell you as many ways l save $$, as you want ...been doing it a long time ...the previous suggestions are all relevant ...here is a few .......
research, research, research, buy in bulk, buy the best, buy on lowest special ...learn to sew, lol ...eat out 3 or 4 times a week at cheap eateries, buy a supermarket rotisserie chicken Saturday night, don't drink or smoke (used to do both), put only $20 a year into prepay cell-phone for texting, use internet banking to pay bills, buy online, but each transaction is "once only' ...don't let anyone retain your credit/debit number ...never give your credit/debit card details to dating sites, etc
No dogs, cats, etc ...they cost a hell of a lot of money to licence & look after properly.
Grow fruit, vegetables in your garden, ie silverbeet, oranges & also limes for your friends.
Turn the Hot Water off most of the month, unplug/turn everything off, except for the TV, lol

l've got arthritis in my knees, now, from too much walking, lol ...l'm was a roofer/used to work in the mountains ...so recently l bought an electric Emicro microscooter ...had 3 smashes, 2 cracked ribs, haha! ...living dangerously.
Okay, why l've had to endure a life like this is a long story & it's not nice either ...that's life, plenty of adventures too ...some of you will know what l mean.
But nowadays, in 2017, in my 60s, it's a different ballgame, l'm now worth millions in property & fighting off chinese/white gangs & their hired thugs, local cops/city officials, family, friends & every kind of scumbag/scammer you can imagine, trying to take my home/property or money off me ...l was nearly killed in March & again in April, been assaulted, been threatened, intimidated, trespassed on 8X, had my gate smashed, trees cut down, intruders around my home at night 4X smashing my lawn ornaments/stealing or moving my stuff, etc, etc ...it will all stop, if l agree to sell, negotiate a price & go ...l've got to laugh, it's funny how the evil cops & corrupt city officials all abandoned me to my fate, l'm expendable, an obstacle to progress, the fly in the ointment ...it's always about the money ...l'm staying put, they have pissed me off, if they want a fight, they have come to the right place ...been here for 32 years, l need some more dogs
