Let's talk about accents, I'm from glasgow people find me hard to understand especially voice activated machines aghhh I never go in a voice activated lift, I can understand geordies and scouser no problem, so give me your views,

In the US we have accents galore. So much so newscasters study the midwest (Iowa) accent to minimize confusion. Add in local idioms and slang and well, chaos frequently ensues.

As for voice activated technology, much like the adjustments made to food for elevation issues, so too are software developers learning one size does not fit all.
