HexagonKeySet: I don't think a first meet is really 'a date' so, generally it would be planned as a coffee meet and that more or less implies some degree of brevity ?
If it goes well though there's option of running it on over into lunch or an early dinner ...

If she lied and her profile pic was 10yrs younger than she really was, i would swap her dog over while she was'nt looking, then finish the date and watch her smash into everything.
