Had a full medical this week & got the all clear , apart from my cholesterol level being slightly raised! Had the full works, including a "prostate exam", which I can assure you, isn't a pleasant experience. Not for me anyway. So, how is your health & when was the last time you had a full medical?
I had one late last year, the doctor snuck it in as I only see him once in a blue moon
I'd gone in with a painful shoulder which turned out to be multiple tears (overdoing it again ), medical results were fine, although cholesterol a little high like yours

I paid privately , as I haven't registered with a GP and got my results back the same day!
As for the cholesterol thingy , I have to slow down on rich food, fried potatoes & dairy products , such as high fat cheese & milk. He even had the cheek to tell me to stop smoking & exercise more .

As a matter of fact , he did book me in for progress appointment
I wonder if he will repeat the prostate exam ? Is it normal procedure & if so ,should he at least buy me a drink first , to help me relax & be less tense !

Few more "prostate exams" and you would be used to.

The finger "prostate" inspection is out dated now days. Urologists use a "scanneer" just above man's p-nis, and the size of the prostate,is monitored in a screen.

That is very nice Chris, however, It seems that in certain parts of the world they prefer to do it their own (outdated) way. They might want to keep us guessing on the nature of such practices, as well as their ulterior motives. As for the patients, I presume that they differ in their levels of the experienced astonishment during such occurrences.

If all we men,ask our Urologists, before making an appointment, "Are you using a scanner""??? then most of them (Urologists) will run and get it.-
