continuation of my comment, A few years ago ,I visited Victoria , I was astounded with the beauty , and I really liked the way there were hanging flower baskets on the main street. Also the people were very friendly. My wife and I planned a one day trip there, as we were vacationing in Seattle , we were so surprised and we called the hotel in Seattle and asked them to put our luggage in storage, then we styed three days in Victoria. Great place to visit and I imagine to live there. studecar

Thank you so very mucyh studecar for your compliments.
I take it you also visit Butchard Gardens in Victoria.
There is a unique museum and many other good things to see.
Vancouver Island is indeed very beautiflul and Victoria is the capital of B.C.
I live on the mainland about a 5 hour drive from Vancouver.
Have visited the island several times the ferry ride is also so very nice.
Come and visit again anytime soon.
