Singapore fighter jets to train in New Zealand
A Republic of Singapore Air Force flying training exercise hosted by the Royal New Zealand Air Force will take place at the Ohakea Air Force base from 30 August to 25 September, says Defence Minister Mark Mitchell.
Mr Mitchell says the deployment will include six F-16D+ fighter jets, about 110 personnel and associated support equipment. The contingent will be based at Ohakea but will carry out training missions throughout New Zealand, including day and night flying, using New Zealand air weapons ranges, and conducting other training at both high and low altitude.
Mr Mitchell says Singapore has also asked the New Zealand Government to consider accommodating F-15SG fighter jet training at Ohakea long-term.
You might remember PM Rudd promised to pick up NZ defence force tab and, Singapore may evacuate down-under (probably because Widodo told them to get out....

Yes, they're Singapore Airforce F16's, not our defunct Skyhawks, which have been sold.
They're doing low-level training in my valley too. Great to smell that kerosene JET-A1 exhaust again, hahaha.
Shame the weather has been so crap for them.
Anyway, insofar goose-stepping NK's nukes...

United Nations acted with bias and in breach of its own charter when it took sides with the US and deployed in 1950. It seems out of order for United Nations to mediate in dispute with North Korea because:
League of Nations, the forerunner of the United Nations was established in 1919 “to promote international cooperation and to achieve peace and security.” However, after failing to prevent the Second World War, the League of Nations was disbanded. ... The UN came into existence on 24 October 1945, in order to prevent another such conflict. Tonight there is a possibility world could be driven by flunky's using UN platform to start WW3. Clearly because UN in first instance acted against NK Russia and China it cannot be said to be impartial promoting peace and security by starting WW3.
The name "United Nations", was coined by United States President Franklin D. Roosevelt was first used in the Declaration by United Nations of 1 January 1942, during the Second World War, when representatives of 26 nations pledged their Governments to continue fighting together against the Axis Powers. Its purpose was to insure there wouldn't be another World War.
However the United Nations Forces in the Korean War. Following an invasion of South Korea by North Korea, the then twenty-one member nations of the United Nations (UN) committed themselves to support South Korea which was not then even a member nation of the UN. A clear bias and combatant in the ensuring conflict.
June 25, 1950, the Korean War began when North Korea, supported by the Soviet Union and China, invaded South Korea. Kim II Sung went to see Mao Tse Tung, the leader of China, to get his support.
The trigger for the war was when, in 1950, Syngman Rhee boasted that he was going to attack North Korea. It was a good enough excuse – the North Koreans invaded South Korea, Syngman Rhee was a South Korean politician, Syngman Rhee was South Korea’s first president in 1948.Dr. Syngman Rhee (1875–1965) was an American-educated Korean exile who returned to his country to become the first President of South Korea in 1948.
