And to think I thought cheesy pick up lines went out in the 80s...
Apparently I am meant to be flattered when someone wants to 'hook up with me'. I am aware it's not just me that gets these enticing emails. But when I said that I was busy washing my hair... they gave me their number? So as a second attempt I conceded that I was far too busy filing my nails. And the emails continued ... he thinks that my response is my sense of humour.

Being polite isn't exactly working for me. It's tempting to simply saying having my arm torn off by a shark and dying a slow painful death would be preferable... but ... THAT would be continuing the conversation. So I shall say nothing at all.

Maybe it's time we share some of these pick up lines for our own amusement.

The best technique I heard of, was these young guys cooking heaps of food at the BBQ then invite heaps of randoms claiming they cooked too much. For the win.

I always take people at face value, so I wouldn't even think of someone having an ulterior motive if I was being invited to a BBQ. sigh

Cheap way of breaking the ice, and as they're mostly backpackers down the esplanade it makes our country look super friendly. Of course it could backfire if a group of bigger girls decides to crash the party and eat all the food.
