Theresa May has threatened a trade war with the US after it slapped punitive tariffs on British-built aircraft, casting doubt on a key plank of her Brexit strategy. # The US Department of Commerce decided Bombardier aircraft, built in Northern Ireland, should be subject to 219 per cent import duty after the American aviation giant Boeing complained that Bombardier had been given unfair state aid.
The Government responded by warning that Boeing’s behaviour “could jeopardise” future Ministry of Defence contracts for its aircraft such as Apache helicopters.

It is quiet obvious that the days of the imperailism of the USA is coming to its end. The new star on the horizon is China. After the UK got a world dominance in the 19 century, After WWI it changed and the US began to take it over, especially after WWII; The US saw Europe as a market for their economy. But times are changing and today after all those crises Europe starts to realise it has to stand on its own and changes its economics to Asia and South America. Only the UK is missing the boat cause of their conservatism, nationalism and traditions. It is a pity. The UK is isolating itself from the world, this could mean a disaster for the country, not necessarly, let us wait and see

How is it a problem for the UK? You mean it's a problem for the EU because the regulations and trade laws will hold back the EU, With the UK out of the EU they will have the entire world as a market place, in fact there are deals in place between the UK and Asian that none of the EU countries will be able to take advantage from, higher taxes for example, will hinder the EU, so You need to worry about your own country not Great Britain!

How can someone serve two masters and be faithfull to both? Theresa May serves the EU, does not care about her own people. I say hung the traitor and bring back Churchill.

Canada here! No comment, Engaged in a trade war at present!
Track16: America is going to find itself alone out in the cold with no friends. In a twist of irony, Britain is eager to open free trade between it and Canada.

Why does anyone want friends which only come around when they need something? Presently, South Korea is an exception to that.

ill informed as usual Tom , and led by the nose again . Canada is very good at screaming blue murder when its their goods targeted by tariffs but very quiet when they target others .Our sweet Canadians are wolves dressed in sheep's clothing . Tariffs levied against dairy products average around 200 % . Make no mistake the target of Trumps tariff is Canada . May and her bulldust is a red herring to cover her rotten attitude towards brexit .
