scold roll eyes Fracking i said, what do you think about it??

We in England have passed a company to start fracking, and there is loads of people standing or lying in front of lorries to stop them rolling. Of course police are there to drag them away as another anti fracker takes empty space. conversing

Scotland has announced they will not allow fracking, will there be a great emmigration to Scotland, if so they better be quick for you may need visa in near future to entergrin

Will it make much difference if no fracking there but some in England, as i understand underneath way underneath earths plates are moved and we are so small would Scotland still get the after shocks.??

People from America seem to know more on ground level what has been happening to them due to fracking, so spill the beans please hug hug

It's destroying the bedrock of a small and densely populated island. What you need is a workable idea inside a viable area and I'm not convinced as a gas engineer by either of these in the British fracking industry.

Chesney if it worked that would be different but so many stories about gas coming through water systems, then of course it is the disturbing of the bed rock that keeps us afloat. Last time fracking in your neck of the woods started a mini earth quake they said.

In my neck of the woods out at sea, they are with EU countries building the biggest wind farm, that will flow energy between countries. I have seen some of the big cabels i have not a clue how the will manage to put them on seas bed, but it is going ahead.

Nothing will change whilst this government is in charge, they'd smash this country to bits for profit.

Horizontal drilling combined with hydraulic fracturing began in Ohio USA about 2011. Good laws haven't caught up to it yet and lobbyist spent big bucks wining and dining Ohio legislators to get their way.

I do not agree with all the complaints for this type fracking to date but the chemicals used do screw up water quality directly and indirectly by disposal of the chemical waste generated. I doubt that frackers are required to maintain an inventory of chemicals used, unlike other industry is required to maintain emission inventories.

Hug a tree today. wave

From what I have read, my view is that expected results are too limited, according to all the true and unbiased geological surveys.
That means - If - or When - Fracking is ever allowed to go ahead under any law passed by the Fascist UK Government and City Financial Scum many of whom have vested interests it will cause too much irreversible environmental damage for the land and the folk who will be adversely affected by it.

Fracturing, drill fracturing to extract natural gas is associated with tremors in my home state of Ohio, but whether the fracturing is completely responsible is considered controversial. I believe it is likely causal.

Drills etch horizontally after their vertical column is completed, and can go some distance. Just depends on the well location and trajectory of the horizontal drill. I am not , however, an expert. Geologists are a good source of info.

National Geographic magazine had an issue devoted to this a few years ago also FYI

we need to realize how important water is, and how dangerous for environment fracking is - fracking is not the solution. Germany/Holland and basically all the rest of Europe do not allow fracking.

If we could ever figure out how to frack through
the Pre Cambrian level; which is up to & over a mile down, drilling/blasting
through Solid Hard Rock; the whole world would be in high cotton since that
is where the multi billion dollar pools are.

I Support Cheap Coal, Cheap Black Gold and Cheap Energy;;;

BUT Fracking is NOT recommended for areas that are already
Earth Quake Zones or Urban areas ...A little black spot on the sun today can
stir up the wobble's/earthquakes in areas that have "SAND" mixed
with rock deep down and blasting saltwater down that deep
in 'those areas' is not such a good idea.
