Actually we are animals, A mighty weak species at that. I was driving home last night in total darkness and a big rabbit ran across the road right in front of my car. It ran at full speed right into the woods. I thought if I ever tried that I would run right into a tree. Where do we get off thinking we are so great? Drop any one of us into the jungle and we would be supper for most wild animals before Sun up.
Years ago when I was into deer hunting, I was heading up a trail to the top of a fairly steep hill about 300 yards distant. I figured on about a half hour to get to the top taking one step at a time. I heard a deer running through the dense woods at about 30 MPH. All I could do was just stand there in amazement as this deer went flying through the woods like it was an open field going through the trees and thorn bushes without a care in the world. All I could think of was WTH am I doing here?
