jac_the_gripper: Why are men meant to be masculine?
Why are women meant to be feminine?
Who gets to decide that?
Genetics :wink Men and women are not built to be the same. Are you fearful of femininity and falling into a mans arms helplessly? I detect you fear masculine men
Freedomofspeech9: Any time I talk about feminism I get these attacks, because the brainwashed manginas and feminists fear me exposing the evil behind feminism
Strikes me that the original post is exactly why women needed to create feminist movements, if everyone had been like the OP last century, womens right to vote would still not exist.

I am not sure what all this is about, if you want a house wife go get one, if you want a woman that works and makes her own money, go get one. Start being clear about what you want, and not what you don't want.

I like what you say and I will give it some thought I am in no rush to date again and won't settle for just any woman

I only started this thread, because another poster ranted about me. slagged me off, went into full SJW mode and wrote a misandrist blog, so I felt the need to write this thread

Turn the other cheek. Go rescue a dog and take it for walks, something like that.
jac_the_gripper: Well, that's an interesting question, epirb.
It appears to imply I might have a problem with my feminity.
I don't. I'm as comfortable with my so called feminine traits as I am with my so called masculine traits.
I don't feel a need to demand that other people have particular gender role traits and maybe that has something to with security in my own.
I delight in watching my friends and colleagues swoop between gender roles and traits because its all about who they are, their life experiences and their choices.
I'm inclined to think that anyone who demands that everyone else has to fit into some reasonably arbitrary set of social conventions, possibly contrary to their own instincts, or inclinations, is the one with the problem. The issue is perhaps with their own security and comfort with themselves.
nope , not at all , you chose to express your femininity in your own way . Most men chose their own roles to , including raising children seen as "woman's" work .
jac_the_gripper: Feminism: the radical concept that women are people, too.
Yes, women are people too. But they are not equal to men. And why should they? I think this whole macho vs feminists war has gone too far. Can we just accept and embrace our differences? Why fight all the time? We want each other. We should be making love not war!

Perhaps some people approach to the same matter differently, by first learning what they don't want, before they learn what is that they want.
