I remember when National Geographic came out with a rub and sniff samples of Cleopatra's perfume and Napoleon's cologne in one of it issues. The scent of her perfume was reconstructed from ancient formulas, using resins like balsam and myrrh and spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, iris root, lotus and saffron. The same edition also provides the light, sweet rosemary and lemon scent and I detected ginger of the formula used to make the cologne favored by Napoleon.
I use old spice fresh scent and my Fathers vaseline intensive care for men moisturizing creme which has a cologne type scent to it.

Lol! No; I used to work for some ad agencies , ideas. designs and copy....it was great; non-stop laughter all day . Then there were the idiot clients...and all their crap products but the pay was great!

Wow, I haven't heard or thought of it but when I saw your post I could recall the scent just like someone had walked in the room. "Obsession" is a good one and has been around you could say tested over time.
I also find it interesting how these fragrances when used just right actually allow for them to be unique with each person. Of course I also remember some people overdid it so it was just too heavy even with a very nice fragrance. (sorry for butting in, it just caught my attention and sparked that memory)
