Here are six Conundrums of Socialism in the United States of America :

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in other Countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about, yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

USA in the 21st Century..... is this what Trump wants to save the world from?

This is not just a US problem . We have just changed Government and our new PM has said a number of times the neo liberalism has failed . Hopefully trade within country's will be managed and kept in balance . Considering binding her hand and foot and offering her to Trumpy for an afternoon running his stubby little fingers over her in exchange of an increase of 80 thousand tons in NZ's beef quota .devil We know what makes Americans tick

Diversity and cosy capitalism. We the people becomes a million little in-groups through diversity you lose any sense that the people around you are looking out for you, and secondly the American advantage; before the 1950s everyday Americans were not especially anti-socialist but since then and in place of the capitalism the world knows Americans leveraged international monopolies and the almighty dollar to live off member berries

You love(d) capitalism when capitalism meant starting the rat race a mile in front of everyone else. In the modern world that mile has been whittled down to a half mile and now you're looking for war to reinstate that one mile advantage.

Every third dollar earned in your life was a member berry dollar an this earn 2 dollars and we'll give you 1 free was your luxury capitalism which in the context real socialism makes no sense. Socialism doesn't come from people who inherit advantages, massive advantages like that.

We all do this in the West, but in a country like Britain it's more like 1 in 4 dollars is a member berry dollar.

And in a country like Norway it's 1 in 5 dollars is a member berry dollar, they set some of their member berries aside as like a nest egg for future generations rather than scoffing the lot in one sitting.

Americans particular the older ones have little experience of working their fingers to the bone for nothing and getting paid handsomely just for turning up was the reason they romanticise hard work and capitalism. In the 21st century things are quite dramatically different and dickensian and that's where socialism comes from.

Being in the home country of the global overlord grants an irresistible advantage in the capitalist game. Victorian Britain was similarly anti-socialist at the height of its empire. That's one reason why modern Americans don't do Socialism.

The other reason might be more personal and biological. Many Americans are descended from the villager who in his own country was despised by the rest of the village, America was consciously constructed in the rootless new world selecting for anti-social personality disorders. The bonds are weak.

Broadly speaking we like socialism when it works whereas Americans believe greed is good there's a fundamental objection to socialism which the rest of the free world does not have. The Americans would rather be collectively worse off than feel less superior to other Americans.

Anyone who has ever been truly "poor" (no job, rent is due, no groceries, no money at all....) would enthusiastically embrace being "middle-class". I am now the epitome of 'middle-class', (I HAVE been richer),and let me tell you, it is just FINE. Thank you God, thank you God, thank you God-----
