Around 12:30 am Sat night the police were knocking on my door
Cautiously I opened the door and they asked me what kind of car do I have
I told them and the officer said "Your whole car has been sprayed with WD40 oil and two doors have been scratch
I asked them how do you know this. He said my next door neighbor looked out her window when she heard a noise and saw a tenant from the third floor damaging my car
My neighbor wrote everything down and gave it to the cops. Now I'm waiting for a formal police report and photos that they took
I told the managing landlord what happened and they said "We can't kick her out unless a judge says she committed a crime
That means I have to file a Complaint with the court and wait to get on the docket to go to court
Problem with that is I am moving out of state in two weeks. I called the court and they said it's impossible to get my case on the docket before I move
So, this woman, who I've seen in the building, gets away with damaging my car and she can still live in this apartment complex.
However, she will get away with breaking the law but my car insurance company will make her pay for the damage which I imagine will be ample as the scratches are deep. I don't know if the WD40 oil did any damage. Time will tell.
I took my car to the car wash as soon as they opened up to get the oil washed off.
Nobody would ever suspect that this little old lady would do such a thing.
I see it in the news all the time when someone is killed. People in the neighborhood say it's a quiet neighborhood and that nothing ever happens there.
She is not mentally incapacitated. She thought this through very clearly.
And, when she saw that someone saw her spraying my car with oil she said to the person "Shhhhhhhh, you didn't see me"

Anybody car to guess how livid I am.
:
You're probably as livid as when I found out someone threw my cat into a microwave oven and turned it on, on high.

Either go ask her (bring back-up like the manager) or ask yourself what did you do to deserve this? Or just throat punch her!! Kidding....ummm lucky you are moving it would be hard to stick around a place where you don't feel safe anymore. The whole thing sounds bizarre.

When you say "Anybody car to guess how livid I am" is that a typo or are you cracking a gag?

That's terrible. Well, to me that's a crime. Vandalism. Innocent until proven guilty. You as a victim has to charge her.
If you don't then she'd be doing the same thing over and over again.
I'd take time to have her prosecuted. Otherwise it won't stop.
I'm curious what the other half of the story is... It does sound like you know why this happened, because you say she's not mentally incapacitated... Somebody did that to my car, the police would be the least of their problems.
WD40 shouldn't affect it, she might have been hoping it works the same as brake fluid, which destroys the paint.

I do not know why this happened. Other cars in the parking lot have been scratched but none got the WD40 treatment.
To the person who suggested a throat punch. I am not the violent type. I believe in waiting it out for the legal system to decide her future.
The police report is very clear that she did it and there is a witness. I attached the police report to the Complaint when I filed it with the court. Now it's just wait it out to get on the court docket.
To the person who said I must have done something to cause her to do this .... get a life
Annnnnnnnnnnd, it was a typo in the last line of my original post

Wow, a tad snotty there aren't you? I added THAT I was joking. Since you are whining about the whole thing and our comments, when we are just having a tad bit of fun - something that stands out is how in the world did this person get a hold of enough WD40 to cover your whole car? This sounds fishy to me. Unless...you have a teeny tiny "smart car" and still it would take about a case of WD40 to cover it, so we have ask ourselves who would spend so much money on a couple of cases of WD40? Sooooooo is story true?
There would be a reason, maybe you parked her in, maybe there's not many spaces and you took hers, maybe you ran over her flowers or something, maybe you reported her to the authorities for something etc... If she's not mentally disturbed, you'd have some idea why this happened. Its probably a disproportionate response, unless you did something similar to her, but for my opinion there's more to this story.
