London is kicking Uber out. Non Compliance? Is there another reason for this? Cars not big enough for royalty maybe?
"The decision not to renew Uber’s license could end up causing a major upheaval in the lives of the 30,000 to 40,000 licensed Uber drivers there and the roughly 3.5 million Londoners who rely on them."

Probably because the cars/drivers fail to respect the laws in place to protect would be passengers. Uber brought it on themselves, they had plenty of warnings.

Yup, it's been a great scam for Uber ... but more and more I think they're gonna banned for their unethical and often illegal practices!

Because company does not pay minimum wage, or sick and holiday pay. Company does not vet its drivers well enough and SOME some i said passaengers have had bad experinces. It was a long time ago when workers could be exploited so in out country and when it happens it gets stepped on.

The facts are that Zero hours contracts still exist. Exploitation has not been stepped on since 2010 either under the coalition and the Tories since the last election. -- Some Tories, Liberals and even Labour Politicians are wealthy and have shares & investment in businesses which employ over 70% of male & female staff on Zero hours contract labour.

There is a place for zero contracts and some workers enjoy the flexibility but when a whole company emplys this method for all its workforce not just for a few positions that is explotation i mean mike
Redex: It now looks as if they are going to pay a fortune in more legal wrangles, best thing for folk just do not use Uber---use Londons vetted cabbies.

When I go to visit my family in New York. I used to take a taxi to go between Penn (Pennsylvania) Station and Grand Central Station in NYC. Now I take the subway. It's cheaper and faster and I don't ever go outside and have to cross busy streets. Last time I took a taxi a few years ago it cost $15. not including tip to go about 2 miles. The subway is $3.
