Is it just me, …is it in my imagination, or do other new members have/feel the same problem of Ignorence on the Forum?
It seems to be a privilegd for a select public/ members… As a newbe it is hard to participad, got that weird feeling I’m always talking to the hand when I try to participate…
Maybe it's because of the sawdust in my head!

Once up on a time, I do remember it was always fun in the Forum, seems like ages ago ...

It was some years ago these forums were a riot. Something for everyone, all kinds of threads and people engaging with each other.

Perhaps now the lack of participants makes it what it is, like a merry go round of the same old same old regurgitated that many times creativity it is like being dumber than a box of polystyrene rocks on a Fred Flinstone set.

Times have changed too in that tech has created so many more ways to communicate.

Keep on rocking around these forums in your own unique way.

Now if you mention there are cliques here some will defend it so vigourously they will forget what the word actually means.

I like your input, I get a good laugh out of it.beer

Its all good. Thing is Sawdy, there are "dead spots" here, I have noticed between say 11 and 2 (am or pm) here, not much is happening...

I found out by saying something off the planet about whacking off wearing a washing up glove, at the train station... Then the place seemed to go completely quiet. I thought OK, they're just taking it all in and somebody will say something about it... I kept looking at the clock, by about 12.15 I thought they must all be heading to the train station or the glove shop... And so on, until about 2 when some old lady said she won 5 bucks playing bingo or something.

Thanks for your input. I'll do that laugh
I'm just not the person, who's always swimming with the mob... I do have an own opinion, and I do like to share my sometimes awkward point of view.. I'll keep going on...stubbornness as I'm. laugh

I must admit, that was a ball-tearer. But see what I mean? you just didnt get quality like that in the good old days. Just a bunch of old people swapping scone recipes, and talking about the war.

I remember when you could get a wheelbarrow full of potatoes for four and six. And that included the wheelbarrow, mind you.

Although i am not going to talk about the good old days (I'm afraid of Pat), there were more interesting or fun threads before.

Now, every second one seems to be ones that are unintelligible drivel aimed to either increase the poster's thread count or to constantly state how they are the only free thinking moron in the world.

Hi...yes I agree it can be very cliquish on here at times.

It's very easy to spot who speak to each other off this site...and who club together to get at some.
That's very easy spot...if the collectives don't like u they quite subtly troll u and belittle u and sit back and watch their friends do the same....it's a pity because it has the makIngs of a great site but some of the oldies on here think k they own the place and that it's their right and not the mods to regulate people.

I have been welcomed by alot but equalled been put off by alot on here too.
So yes I feel ur pain.

Just keep being u and doing ur own thing on here....

thumbs up

I remember a time when you had to be quick to keep up with the forums.

I used to contribute quite a lot and always made point of trying to respond to newbies. I remember my first tentative posts and how difficult it was to get going, but really it's just a matter of posting enough until people start to recognise you.

You're not being snubbed, it's not personal, it's not about cliques - it's just that familiarity takes a little longer than when interacting in person.

I've already moved on from 'who's Molly Sawdust?' to 'oh, it's Molly Sawdust!' and I think this is only the second time I've replied to one of your posts.

Keep going, it doesn't take long. wave

Exactly what Jac has said.

It took me awhile as well to post, and then to receive responses.

Keep at it and people will soon get a flavor for who you are. tip hat
