And the idea of sending a message to him starts to seem so appealing... Of course, we know we shouldn't do it, because there's a reason why an ex is an ex and we know that even if we get together again - it will end the same way. So, that's a forbidden road. But, sometimes the desire gets too strong and nothing you do seems to have any effect. Neither a rational explanation to yourself nor all sorts of distractions - nothing! What do you do in these situations? How do you prevent yourself from doing something silly you will regret afterwards?

delete his number from your phone
get rid of any form of written or social media contact info
give yourself a good talking to, draw a line under it and go meet other people
may not be easy but it's gotta be done!

Delete the number and address from your phone contacts, delete ALL pictures, get rid of everything he (or she) ever gave you...and if you can, have a "grounder" you can call to talk you out of it if those things do not work

Track16: If your thinking about the ex, go and m**turbat. If your still thinking of the ex afterwards, there is something to it. If you stop thinking about them, do not contact them.
