ChesneyChrist: There was one girl, daughter of the Brazilian mafia, and she paid for everything. Drinks, meals, holidays, my new shoes and the train to go see her all bought and paid for by South American drug money. In my defence I was penniless at the time for a good reason and what would she have spent that money on? Botox and dresses; botox she didn't need and dresses she never wore.
That's made me nostalgic now for the good old days of poverty and malnutrition, surviving through force of sheer audacity and sponging off my girlfriend... They say that to grow bored of luxury is the worst thing that can happen to a person, but isn't life more exciting when you've nothing to lose?

guysimple: Ok. I dont date anyone I had Gf in past I never said to pay any even I never know how much she carry with her when she is with me. I always pay Its not just I am guy Its something else which is not pride...
I am single now a days ...I have friends most of them are guys I never let pay them when I am with them....
I have always wondered how men can not pay for their date. I was raised that is how it is done, and for me it would just be assumed that is how it would be.

Depends on a few things really... Who asked who, where it is, everybodies circumstances etc...
If I asked a random out for a meal, I'd expect to pay for it. I'd find it tiresome if she wanted to go through the whole bill and work out who ate how much garlic bread. Its nice if she offers to help pay, I usually suggest she can get the ice creams later or something.

chris27292729: Then half of the white population have origin from Dutch, its natural to have adopted the Dutch line
.
Going Dutch means:-
- 50/50
Or
- Each pay for their own food consumption E.g finding out who ate how much of the garlic loaf ? It is a lengthy and painful and an embarrassing situation after a generally pleasant meal, which make for no repeat performance.
Thus:- its better if just one person pays and to later in the comfort of wherever sort out who owes who. If ur scared u ll not get ur money back, don't take someone out that can't afford the whole bill ?

Depends. If he asks me out he pays. Next time I do the same etc. If we both want to go somewhere dinner/movie etc I offer to go dutch. I don't like a guy paying all the time, but that's just me.
I've never dated but if I did I would pay for myself that way he's not expecting my Hoo Haa for desert and because I eat huge I wouldn't want to choose a salad and pretend I'm not that hungry so as to not cost him a fortune
but in saying the above going out to eat as a date would bore me plenty of other fun interesting things to do than sit opposite each other chewing food.
