Given that all concerned have accepted our future legal responsibilities the only logical reason for such a social media provoked reaction is either conscious or subconscious envy. END OF

One2note: Ok, so about 6 months ago, I went on a date with a lady I met in a bar, not far from my work.
Having been slightly intoxicated, I got the courage to ask for her phone no. & made plans for a date at this nice Italian restaurant.
Being completely sober on the date, I chose the meat option & she chose the veggie option.

What came next was a complete surprise!!

When her main arrived, she asked the waiter for tomato ketchup!
I said "your joking, right", to which she replied:
"It needs it, I'm having the risotto"!!!

I could have buried my head under the table in shame.. and when the waiter arrived with a little pot of the stuff, she leaped from the table, like a "drug dealer" & chased the waiter to ask for the whole ketchup bottle!!!

Needless to say, it was a long night & never to be repeated!

Anyone else had a bad "first date experience??

your post reminded me of something that happened to my friend this past holiday season.
after dinner at a restaurant and now back in the car, her dinner date told her that she had embarrassed him in the restaurant.
i think it's great he was up front and said something in a respectful way, albeit could of been kinder. she asked how i would of felt in her shoes?

my response to her was:
that his embarrassment suggested to me a co-dependency. if i am out for dinner with someone, and they make an asshat of themselves....they are embarrassing themselves, not me. and i would 'note to self'....decline future dinners with the person if i didn't think i would enjoy it.
i added that it was also an opportunity to hear someone.

so glad you posted this....i've been curious since my chat with her, wondering how many folks get embarrassed by others...and what do they do about it..
thumbs up

i did have some friends embarrass me at a restaurant years ago...but it was intentional. they secretly told the staff that it was my birthday...and they brought out a big cake and the whole place sang happy birthday to me.
sounds kinda nice....right?

it wasn't my birthday.... laugh

I have only been on 2 dates in 9 years, neither involved going out in public, people are smart enough not to take me out in public :)

I'm rather tolerant about other people's behaviour. Even if it is not very pleasant - what can you do? I remember once going on a date with a man who started singing the song that was playing in the restaurant during the dinner and looking at me with eyes full of admiration. I think he thought I would be glad and flattered. I tried to smile and to ask him questions in order to make him stop singing and start talking, but it didn't help much. So I had to wait patiently until he finishes his 'courtship'. laugh I was a little embarrassed, but after all, he didn't have bad intentions...
