You don't need a Psychologist to tell you to stay well away from anyone that has been violent to you and your children.. Psychopaths like the way they are so no amount of therapy will cure them.

I studied quite a diverse range of subjects / degrees, of which one was psychology.
Not my style, but I was just told today that according the questions I ask and do the evaluation, I act like a psychologist.
But my ex looses control, have blackouts during and then cannot remember any of the kids.
I believe it's a cop out.

We last saw him Feb 2010, on his way back to the UK, and we sighed with relief, out of our lives.
Now he's trying to contact us via the internet, and we're all ducking. We don't exist for him anymore, no more contact of any kind.

They're necessary and I see society going insane in two extremely different ways along the lines of dull workaholics and train-wrecked left-behinds.
We should all be having that 3-4 day working week, but the current setup in the welfare state and the man in marketing would never allow it; Every fifth person in the office exists to offset the aggressive sales techniques of the fifth person in another office, the fifth person in all offices could be sacked without loss to the goods and services provided by any office... or everyone in the office could have a 4-day week, same difference.

Or maybe I'm saying they're not truly necessary. Cutthroat capitalism increases the demand for psychotherapists and anti-psychotic drugs, the lunacy comes from the rat race. Through capitalism we've become like Sisyphus the master in thief punished in Hades to repeatedly roll a boulder up a hill only to have it roll back down again as soon as he reaches the top. Einstein said insanity is to do same thing over and over again and expecting a different result and Dostoevsky said the best way to break a man was to make him repeat the same pointless task.

This behavior is used by one intimate partner to establish power and control over the other partner through fear and intimidation. For many it is a form of addiction where they get their highs and lows, it is also used to gather self esteem. it has nothing to do with provocation..

Dedo. I tried to get a professional to get it into his thick scull that he has a problem.
Well he didn't believe that it was true and just carried on making our lives hell.
Why, he can do nothing wrong, not so ?

They gave me a clean bill of health and he had a severe violent streak and thus wasn't given a clear.
He abused me and my 2 sons, behind closed doors, but in public butter could not melt in his mouth.
I wish that he goes for therapy and be the person he can be.
