Deedee123x: Is it not a psychologists job to NOT do exactly that..ie pigeon hole.

I wud have thought people go to them for that very reason of being pigeon holed by society..peers...themselves.

The psychologist job being to get u to view yourself in a different light.
Work through ur difficulites and coming to a more open minded view of urself and ur problems.
thumbs up ...It's always good to be presented with a positive different angle of view that seek solution in improving self worth and given quality life options.wine

Bnaughty: Experiment on your ex with alcohol and drugs to see if he becomes a better person
Why would you make such distasteful joke, while she's sharing her traumatic painful experience and needs moral support.blues

Deedee123x: Have u had bad experiences with a psychologist then??
Several years ago, after my partner suddenly died, than after ...my father died, I went true grieving and depression so for the first time I wanted to see Psychologist to see if that could make me feel better ...Anyway, after only a few sessions, Psychologist was inviting me to date and putting his hand on my knees uh oh Ive thought to myself, if i slap him accross the face in old fashion way , he might say that I am crazy uh oh and when I asked 'what is he doing by rubbing his hand on my knee?' he would just change the subject .....so I told him that 'his making me feel cheap and that I won't come back' professor and what makes me laugh is that Psychologist was throwing numerous pencils in the wall out of frustrations, maybe concerned that I might report him to the Medical Board.
I have asked him peacfully, if he needs the Doctor next door to him that I can call him to give him injection to calm him down.rolling on the floor laughing
After him I found another male Psychologist and he was highly proffesional understanding and never crossed boundaries but after a few sessions I gave up anyway because there's no way that anyone can make short cut in grieving dead, we simple need to learn how to live with it and only time can heal...but what works for me, it may not work for someone else...Different people, different problems ...

Thank you for thoughtful words. bouquet I am ok.
We all experience some loses in life that we have to 'overcome' in time and learn to live with and keep moving on...I always keep in mind saying of one Novelist, that bad things happen in our life, not to make us miserable but to make us grow and to enlighten us, to discover better self ..and while I like to think the same way too as it's like a self comfort, for some terible life tragedies like loosing family members, I can not see what would be the point connected to discovering self - enlightment' ...confused except maybe enlightment when you come to point of acceptance how things are, moving from the past memories and living in the present... in appreciation of what you have...wine

Actually, I don't think much of psychologists at all. Every single one differs in views from the next.

So, it's like the throw of the dice, except this one has millions of sides !

Maybe in losing them it makes us face our own mortalitt..making it a little easier to accept....making us live in the present...i think the saddest thing is losing someone before u got the chance to really appreciate them in this lifetime...have seen that happen all too often....you dont really know what u have until its lost!! ...
