Why, do you think I need someone to validate what I already know about myself?
I just send a compliment slip in the post with 2TB hard drive inside so the recipient can write/draw/design all their compliments about me, then return it by special delivery. After that, well does it really matter?

That's a simplified way of thinking. :)
For example, we all know that men don't care about nails or nail polish and things like that. Still many women invest a lot of their time and money in making their nails beautiful. They do that for their own pleasure and fun. It has nothing to do with men. :)

I look after my appearance for me and nobody else.
I dont think its the women who should worry about how they are seen.
Men should really start taking more pride in their appearance themselves instead of leaving the house looking like stevie wonder dressed and cleaned them.
