MsContessa: The marketeers in society says that in order for us 'Not to be Judged' (apart from it being a multi billion pound industry) then we must buy into all or some of those treatments in order to fit in with the beautiful, successful and rich. An ever increasing amount of men are also buying into this concept... Our material and not natural world. However, the vast majority of women and men dress up in order to make themselves feel good.. There is something liberating in that... the opposite does not appeal to either the material or natural world; in my opinion...
...I don't buy what you are selling and women do dress up, wear makeup etc to get attention from men and feel good about themselves
KremaP: Like it or not we all judge the looks of the others as they speak volumes about the person... If they are clean or messy, stylish or rough, too much makeup or too plain, bad hair, nice hair, false hair, too thin, too fat, bad teeth, nice smile... Come on, nobody wants to be considered unattractive...
...Too much lipstick make's her look like a cheap hoe, Too many facelifts make her look like a doll made of plastic, too much mascara make's her look like a witch, too much blusher make's her look sunburnt
Can we agree that you want to be judged by your narrow minded, arrogant, misogynistic thread?
Whether you want to be, or not, you are going to be.
What's that? Your thread isn't the whole of you? There's more to you than just your thread? There's a complex, intelligent, feeling human being behind this thread?
So, you're just trying to get a discussion going; you're trying to interact, learn, grow, make friends maybe?
You want us to see the real you behind your thread...but how are you going to do that without creating more posts, or threads by which you'll be judged?
Certainly, no one's going to know you even exist if you just sit there at home and read the forums.
You've got to play the game with the rules made up by someone else if you want opportunity, interaction, learning, growth, a relationship, friendship...whatever it is you're here for.
And when you do the right thing, the socially acceptable thing of grasping opportunity rather than sit at home accepting nothingness, you'll be judged for it.

Do I want to be judged by my looks?
...My threads are created to discuss subjects and if you are a snow flake, then you can always ignore my threads, because you clearly have trouble accepting the truth and are attempting shaming tactics

LeeCharming: ...How often do you seek for compliments on your looks and how often do you need validation from a man for your looks?
Why, do you think I need someone to validate what I already know about myself?
I just send a compliment slip in the post with 2TB hard drive inside so the recipient can write/draw/design all their compliments about me, then return it by special delivery. After that, well does it really matter?
LeeCharming: ...Well yes I agree and women want to make themselves more beautiful, so they can snag a man and get validation for the way they look with the mask on
That's a simplified way of thinking. :)
For example, we all know that men don't care about nails or nail polish and things like that. Still many women invest a lot of their time and money in making their nails beautiful. They do that for their own pleasure and fun. It has nothing to do with men. :)
Look you just want us to validate that all wonen are out to 'snag' men using whatever method they can.
Some women wear make-up because they feel better in it. Others wear it because they have to put on a certain look at work etc.
It all boils down to the fact that a man can only get 'snared' by a woman wearing make-up if he chooses to. Men know whether the woman he is chatting up is wearing make-up or not. He can choose tp disregard them if he wishes. Free will comes into play here. She chooses whether to wear it or not, he chooses whether he likes it or not.

LeeCharming: …When you think about it they do in general and that is why they were makeup to enhance their looks, spend a fortune on clothing, haircuts, manicures, pedicures, hair waxing, breast implants, facelifts etc.
…Why do a number of women contradict themselves, by claiming they don’t want to be judged by their looks, when they go so far out of their way to not only grab the attention of men, but also compete to look better, than other women?
…Can we all admit that, Makeup was invented for women to attract men and cover up their imperfections? Can we admit, that women do want to be judged on their looks? Can we admit that women feel the need to wear makeup to make themselves look better and attract men? Can we admit that attractive looking women can get away with just about anything?
No, liquor was invented for that purpose
Unfortunately we think that we have achieved a significant progress compared to people from back 200-400,or 900 years ago ... and yeah, technological we did, but spiritually, emotionally or even mentally...decreases We have lost our primal direction and sense , atavistic needs and rooths ... so we tend to wander off from one trend to another ,finding a new ``deep meaning`` in different philosophical movements and religions ...and of cause they are designed and created to keep us confused and dull

I look after my appearance for me and nobody else.
I dont think its the women who should worry about how they are seen. Men should really start taking more pride in their appearance themselves instead of leaving the house looking like stevie wonder dressed and cleaned them.
