Bearwoman: I can remember back to when I was a small child and waking up in the mornings to homemade biscuits etc that my mother would make.

Small children have been known to spit out my birthday cakes.
I have, however, converted a number of die hard carnivores to the acceptability, ney delight, of vegetarian and vegan cuisine.
I revel in an appreciative audience for my cooking, ergo, I do not get urges to bake sweet stuff.

My kids love sweet things. The savoury and healthy tends to be for me alone and it's much more fun keeping them happy.
