I live in a huge "basin" like maybe a million years ago something dropped down and made a dish, we have our own temperatures, thunder for example starts and returns after half an hour until it works itself out but we have not rain with it. Beautiful clear skies that are open and shooting stars each night, planes flying over on a main route from Paris and Uk, you can see the lights but not normally noise.
Look on the net for CASPE and you will see the lakes with the giant carp.
