Yeap ...a friend of mine, I introduced her to this site, they are very happy (as far as I know), she is my friend from school days....a decent person who was lucky to find a decent guy like her. I wouldn´t say it´s a norm, but if you are smart enough to sort out obstacles and find some one like you, I think this place is like any other and succees is possible.

Yes I am one of them. Still together and very strong. Four and a half years.
Welcome and good luck. This site is no different than any other ones that cater to the same purpose.
In fact to me, it is quite better than in real life, meaning out there in the usual hang outs, ie, work, gym, bars (not that I have ever done that), in my opinion.
You just have to be careful because it is proven that about 75 percents are scammers and only out to get your money.

At eh poetry alone, where I met mine, there are about 10 couples who are friends of mine and still strong. Three of them have been together for the last 9 years and the others about the same as mine. We have met quite a few times with these couples.

The first one, about 2 months after writing poetry. He was always posting a comment on mine and never done on any of the fellow poets, nor did he ever return or responded on any of the comments on his poem either.
He had no picture then on his profile and neither on mine.
But he was supposed to be leaving, and I panicked and posted my phone number (that is the truth) as well as my mail address on the poem. Geesh, and almost immediately he mailed me. We became an item right there. Three months and booked my flight to Australia (Sydney), and almost two years of the most remarkable love in my life. Very expensive trips of course for him and mine. But if I have any choice, I wish I would still be in that love. (He reads all that I write here, I am sure).
He is in a very happy relationship as well as I, but the memories, never ever to be forgotten.
The new one took us about four months. A lot of talk before we met. Now we live together and very happy.
