That's brave. I would like to go to the 40's or $50. Maybe even before when it seemed life wasn't the same as the present. Things were simple and things seemed more innocent.

Travel back to the 60s 70s.
If it were possible, to look in and see what my parents were like when they were my age now and when i didnt know them.
Back also to the 30s 40s for my Grandparents for the same reason.

Useless Fact: Time travel isn't that simple. lol.
The sun is moving through the universe, the earth is in orbit while the sun is moving, and rotates.
So, if one were simply transported through time there is a pretty high chance that rather than meet the ancestors, or get the lottery ticket numbers, you would end up floating in deep space, or at the bottom of the ocean.
Travelling faster than the speed of light means that you would end up somewhere else very quickly. You wouldn't be able to see anything as you would have got there before the light that was emitted from the source, eg the 'event' that you were trying to view before it happened. Depending on how far you travelled down that emitted light you would be able to see back in time, but it would be an image from several thousand light years ago. much like when we see stars and galaxies now. What we are seeing is what existed thousands of years ago, not what is there now. We can't interact with that image, it is similar to watching an old video.
I guess all that we can do is wonder?

I think it would make MORE sense (IF making some bucks is your objective) to go back to Nov. 1941, and place all the money on Japan attacking Pearl harbor. Then travel to Los Altos in 1976 and invest all my winnings in Apple Computers, which was incorporated, but not selling anything yet! And then come back to today, Buy a mice island somewhere and put my feet up and sip daiquiris for the rest of my life! No! I wouldn't do that. I'd buy a 200 foot ketch, find a bunch of young healthy girls I could teach to handle the boat, hire them and spend the rest of my life traveling, meeting people, and having fun!
