I'm just waiting for them to put in an elevator.
My style of camping involves carrying the clothes on my back, a rain pancho and pancho liner blanket, a hammock, some salt and spices, a knife, and a few sources of fire.
I love camping in a tropical paradise, where I can find 100 mangos, get naked, and eat them in a stream, then pull 100 prawns out of the stream, put em on a grill, and eat them too.
I love camping where there's fresh spring water, wild figs, pigs, goats, coconuts, taro, breadfruit, bananas, etc., etc, and waterfalls to shower in.
To me, the perfect camping destination is a place where I can lay around in a hammock all year.
Hiking to a place where I'd need to pack a 4 season tent, food, water, fuel, oxygen tanks, plus 30 pounds of down clothing and bedding, and have to leave as soon as I get there...
That's just not me.

Neither did I, until I've read Krakauer's "Into thin air". And after reading it, I still didn't understand the charm... perhaps, there wasn't any.
Nonetheless, I suddenly discovered in my soul a kind of a drift... or a question that I's asking myself: "Why didn't you climb Everest yet?" and there was no given answer. That I've missed my chance by a huge margin is true, but it is not the point in the context.
Would I dare given the chance -- that's the question. And I'd like to know that the answer is: "Yes".
And I'm looking for the like-minded. No matter what :)

You see, I wouldn't say that it's not possible to clime that hill on other days, but when monsoon presses the jet stream off for a few days, usually in May, the things might, just might, get easier.
I totally on your side, but I suggest that you wait until May.

Are we talking cryptically about Everest or is the question concerning that big mountain because if it is a cryptic question then I climb Everest every day from the moment I get out of bed. Some days I only make base camp while others I spend most of it at the summit. :)
