For a criminal trail you need to contact the police. For a civil trail it might be possible through "no win no fee" (however the small print with this being that you may have to pay your opponents fees if you lose)

I think if you have to pay, the costs can be reduced by being a litigant in person (and optionally take a Mc Kenise friend with you if you wish to)

The next cheapest and probably more effective, is having a "direct access barrister". The advantage being they will know the case law, as well as not get emotionally involved (i.e it may come over badly if you "lose it" in court, because of being too close the the subject matter). Also you get to speak with your barrister more than if you go via a solicitor (and therein which will mean you will have to pay also a solicitor as well as a barrister)

If you want it all sorted out by professionals than the solicitor and barrister route may be a good way to go. You might be eligible for what we call "legal aid" (you will get this if the matter is criminal and its even possible in civil cases)

Over here there is a "criminal injuries fund" for those who was victims of crime with no redress gained (possibly because it cant be taken to court as the criminal is "at large" for whatever reason)

I would think the compensation should to equal to the amount of suffering you have gone through, either mentally or physically or both. Whats in Case Law, would be an indicator. Good Luck and I do hope it will be an open and shut case.

Love your sense of christian forgiveness.

Forgive him, have a drink with him.
Then follow him for €500,000.

Or where do you think the money comes from?
