No but speaking from experience if one discovers anyone with aggressive NPD in any technical team or a team sport. and one does not do everything possible to get rid of them, to allow them to remain will lead to damage to the business perfrmance and results.

I don't understand what you mean new disoders - or feel conveneted - BUT There is no cure for Narcissism or general acceptance of a narcissist in any social gathering.
If I discover one I totally ignore them.

galrads: Amazing. I believe these 6 points true as I’ve experienced similar issues when I finally realized a person was a narcissist. It took me 50 years to realize someone in my life was narci it’s. About the same time I realized it, point #5 was definitely evident.

moping nothing to be proud of but those #()=?¡? have no secrets if we study their behaviour, even if they wanted, they could never avoid being the way they are....that makes them "easy" to identify...and catch. conversing

Note: it wasn´t easy from me either Gal, no from those I dated ....before them there was another person. It´s over. wave

I had a discussion about narcissists among friends at my health center Yesterday.

Someone asked the question, “How do you define narcissists vs. generic a**hole?”

Anyone here have a good answer for this question? dunno

If I remember correctly, Narcisses liked staring at his reflection so much he turned to stone... So I'm thinking people who go to the gym and watch themselves working out in the mirror, kind of thing... But these days it just means somebody you dont like.

Forget free-weights and mirrors. I spend my time in the swimming pools at my health center with the rest of the elders. Only time I look in a mirror there is when I’m in the locker room and flossing my teeth.

All narcissists are a**hole but not all a**hole are narcissists.
The lack of empathy for our feelings and their refusal to own any responsibility their actions have caused. Also an unwillingness to compromise emotionally; it's all about them all the time, a ton of lies from little to big and when those lies are discovered, Narcissist would not admit they were lies but would rationalize his/her reasons for hiding them. Narcissist is always in search of supply, not that Narcissist care about you at all.
Narcissist will always find a way to use and exploit Co-dependent even in underhanded ways.
There is also a difference between possessing empathy but choosing not to exert the energy to express it or being completely incapable of empathy.
Narcissist manipulative tactic and style is the nice cycle with love bombing and telling you what he/she think you want to hear. If one watches Narcissist actions and not his/her words, it can make a big difference in choosing the escape plan .... super or becoming depressed and loosing self esteem.hole
After nice love bombing cycle it's starts another period of devaluing victim, getting angry if you would not do what he/she want you to do or punishing you by using SILENCE treatment.
Looking at a person's value system as evidenced through their actions, not their words will give an idea about character.Although, it's tricky because pathologically deceitful people can put on quite the act.
The thing is they can't always keep it up and you have to watch what seeps through the seams of their mask. Not easy...except if you're already have past experience with a Narcissist a**hole, man or women Narcissist, I don't care, they are Evil.

So why not just call them arseholes? ...Because using amateur psychobabble words make people think they appear more knowledgeable than they actually are, which itself is narcissistic.

Jesus, I didnt realise he died. I thought he only turned into stone. But maybe that was Oedopus after he rooted his mum. Greek law is so confusing at times.

I think that was Medusa who could make people turn into stone, but it could also be any other person from the Greek mythology very happy

I guess turning into stone was a real concern back in the day. Must have been very easy to scare people, just point to a pile of rocks and say- you wanna end up like him?

galrads: Anyone ever known anyone else with serious acute Narcissism behavior? I do. Took awhile to figure out their behavior. Actions and words don’t match up. They are all alike. They can really mess with people, usually quietly over time. Relationships with them can truely be “psychological warfare.”

If yiu’re interested, here’s a good video with explanation and summary about Covert Narcissists. Worth a watch. Sorry if you can’t. They are out there.....

I had a very bad experience with them Galrads.

I'm so nappy I found out sooner I wasn't the patient but the victim.

Lol...I can only laugh at it now.wave

I only had it one time. Almost two years and that was quite an experience. Learned a lot, though.

Maybe I will threaten tomorrow my neighbour with it when he does not stop throwing cigarettes on our little terrace. Then I will have peace.
