I had a very bad marriage to a British subject, barely lasting 7 years, and yes his family as well, in the process.
I don't want it repeated, so I have been single since 1992, and a very good mother and breadwinner for my kids and animals, as the ex just stole half of my money, possessions and cars, as we were married in community of property, more than he ever deserved, and never have given anything to either of us, and still not now that his back in the UK, earning a decent salary, at last, as SA people r valued because of our discipline throughout the world.
So, I believe I'm right in how I approach life in general, and men in particular.

Both of my parents have been gone for some time so I can imagine on how you feel.
I'm the youngest of my eight older siblings and when I and another older brother are gone that will be the end of my immediate family.All that will left is my two sons,my nieces and nephews.Sad really.

Bearwoman: Late is why family had always been very important to me.I grew up in the late 40's early 50's to where my older siblings and myself had been raised where an emphasis had been placed on what was the most important in life.Such as family,friends and our health.And nature was pretty much our playground.
