Why do women always expect the guy to travel to them and or pay. (84)

Why is that? I think that both parties should be willing to risk something in meeting and showing some sort of commitment to taking that step. Why shouldn't a lady be expected to pay equally as a guy when first connecting especially if there is a large distance between them.

By the way, I am use to taking care of myself and never expected someone paying for my relocation or anything ...but I am a bit old fashion and think,gentlemen would offer or at least share concern if he has anything serious on his mind.
People should just get use to help and support each other in many ways if they really plan to be together as if everything becomes an issue, from a toothpick, it's better to give up stright away ...

I don't do the long-distance thing, if they are over two hours away from me, no way.
And I don't ever expect a guy to pay.

I don't expect any man to relocate here.
It's a bit much to ask really.

i’m thinkin’ that if two folks get to know each other and really want to meet in spite of the distance, it won’t be an issue.
i don’t think it has to be a gender issue.
as well, it’s easier for some folks to travel than others due to individual circumstances.
I don’t know about you, but as i age, I find meeting others’ expectations more and more unappealing.....
