Track16: Children wear clothes for style, adults wear clothes to cover up, though I still think we would all be happier if we just went around naked

It will only be during the transition period, when people with clothes on go to the nudist beach e.g.

Thereafter

Ur will be born naked and stay that way.

Oh fancy running into you on this thread, judging by your own dress sense your not exactly stepping straight off the cover of the latest men's fashion magazine.

You sound very bitter and twisted mate, you'll be right, have another cold one a couple of bongs of "Hydro" and chill out with this music clip.

The Rolling Stones "Short and Curly's".

ChesneyChrist: Attire is a type of behaviour I suppose, they both need to be context-appropriate. You know I behave more formally in a suit. But I would not like to become obsessed with my own behaviour to the point where walking to the corner shop becomes a staged event. When a black man is walking down the street he is seriously walking down that street where I could not live with this constant try-hard pomp and ceremony. Everywhere you go is not a catwalk.

I could say the same thing about women, too. It's almost a compensatory pomp & ceremony and obsession with your own behaviour which comes from having no real substance or standing in the world. It's the same psychology as North Korea and its military parades.

Yet it's easy to spot a Russian girl from the local one.
Russians are always immaculately dressed & made up, even if it's for the local school run.
They also learn to wear heals from an early age & their calfs are a shapely as a result!

Yes, absolutely. Teenagers do it a lot, too. Youth, women, disadvantaged minorities and powers that are not really powers have this extra aspiration around image.

Heels give you bad back and weird toes, not shapely calves...

Perhaps even the monarchy. Pomp and ceremony around the royals increased in direct proportion to its slide into irrelevance. With the substance of power removed what remains is merely the image of power; the figurehead.

The opposite of this mentality is speak softly and carry a big stick. I forget which US president said that, but that spirit encapsulates confidence over your position and place in the world.
