Sometimes I think tolerance is something many people measure your patience with...

Stuff like not saying Merry Christmas any more for fear of offending someone.

most religions are about peace, and many have the same core beliefs. It is culture that changes those things. I believe my beliefs should not be set, once you do that , you cannot know if there are better beliefs. If a person does you no harm, then you are not accommodating them, they are accommodating you.

Or allowing someone to hide their face in their drivers license photo, or wear a religion outfit instead of a regular military uniform.

That is ridiculous. I have no idea where that kind of thing came from. It must be an American thing.

In most countries, especially in the East and Middle East, all religions celebrate each others religious festivals.

Same here, there is no problem acknowledging religious festivals.

I'm very sceptical that anyone would be offended by someone saying merry Christmas to them. However, if they were, I would say f*ck em. Offending people isn't against my principles.

It's definitely a thing here alright. Trump is trying to make it alright to say it again. But some atheist or Jew made a big deal out it a few years ago, and it became politically incorrect for stores to say it to shoppers at Christmas. Thus we got Merry Xmas or Happy Holidays.

An example in the UK was one council changed Christmas Lights to Winter Lights.
