My Grandpa was a cattle farmer in Iowa, I got to spend some summers there as a kid, helped my Grandpa do things. My parents always got sent home with a freezer full of farm fresh meat. So, growing up it was all the time. In my 40's I started eating less, now I don't eat much meat at all, maybe once a day.

I toured a packing plant in Montfort Colorado once, they don't waste anything do they.

Most of us here on CS have the karma to have ample food though out our whole life, however if we look about, say look at the Karma's some people have in places like Biafra, Yemen, Somalia and many other many millions of people don't enjoy the karma of food or water never-lone three meals per day.
We have been migrating from life to life from beginingless time driven by causes and effects of our activities, both our own activities and to lesser extent collective karmas. Their are those that say how long we live for example is dependent on the merit we have to enjoy human rebirth, and likewise the merit or lack of merit for say food and fresh water.
Humans have an enhanced ability to reason most of us have no idea what we are doing, how we are fretting away this precious opportunity ignoring logic and reason that suggests we should check up

After least one half year with the runs (gluten yeast free) I was eating mutton stew with lots of veggie every morning more recently i've been eating a banana and yogurt in morning , Rosie in Hervey Bay in Queensland said I should eat fish every day, (confident Rosie knows what she is talking about) i am eating Fish and Chips every day for best part of two years without fail. Lately been able to purchase Mango's so been slipping a Mango into my diet in afternoon then chops, potatoes and veg before going to bed.
Really enjoying much improved health this year

I think it's illogical, I don't think it's gross. In more than one way it's not sensible for a civilisation born in agriculture to depend so heavily on the hunter gatherers diet. Decadence, disease and decay I do feel that eating too much meat is a habit of prosperity that is no good for prosperity.
