galrads: Yes, the meat industry causes immense animal suffering and takes a toll in natural resources, the environment and then there’s Climate Change.
Someone estimated that 51 percent of global greenhouse gas emissions are caused by animal agrgriculture. ..... and yet I haven’t seen any major group outspoken about an eating shift to a vegan diet to combat the effects of climate change.
Someone probably has, I just haven’t seen it.
Relax galrads and prepare for the coming of lab grown meat.
since humans are basically omnivores......carnivores, really.........nah- I feel it is necessary----but using caution in how the animals are killed ie- humanely.........in the future, robots that will inherit this planet will not need to eat anything........

My great grandmother had fried chicken often for Sunday dinner. She raised her chickens as pets. It was very entertaining to learn we were eating Gertrude or Georgia while I was gnawing on Georgias thigh bone.
