Why do people write a blog but have it disabled making it very hard for me to be able to poke em in the nose?

CS indeed helped me recover from my emotional mess and make some decisions for the future, just like the last time I was here (7-8 years ago). But, I'm not sure if staying here makes any sense any more... A funny thing to say, but I often feel - too young to be here. Many members (especially on blogs) are a lot older than me - often 15-20 years. The nicest men I encountered on forums and blogs, real gentlemen and men with nice sense of humour that doesn't insult anyone and is TRULY funny - are usually 65+ years old. I think that there aren't many people around my age I can relate to and even if there are - most of them are here only for fun and don't even reveal their real identity. And then - so much fighting, gossiping, attention seeking, some bad energy and bad atmosphere... Maybe it's really time to move on.

It doesn't need to be "all or nothing"...
As I go online anyway, its nice to "chat", interact a little, with people new, see whats new and what concerns people.
Away from here I have long term friends I know who I met through very much non dating sites. Then there are my regular friends locally who I tend to.
I pretty much think if you do a lot of stuff via a computer, its nice to have that "warmth" coming back at you, otherwise it feels like throwing your emotions down an abyss time and again.
If I have to type a lot with the things offline/away from this forum...I then limit my time writing here, otherwise its just too much typing.
If I got things to get done then I may read only.
I come and go as a please and post as and when I wish to.
A good forum should be a "launch pad" or a "safety net" (basically when there is no support, it should be a place for getting some support). Someone may have everything but they might not have little or none "support" in some particular area and its always nice to feel "wanted" - and I think people like to be part of something bigger than themselves.

That's the best way to behave.
I've always had problems on forums and similar sites, because I don't see "virtual creatures"
but "people" behind the screen and many times I do things only out of politeness or because I know it's important to someone and get myself into wasting too much time and energy doing something I would rather not doing. I think I will adopt this more ... selfish ... approach.
