It is lovely to see all the lovely pics of obviously happy families, having fun in the snow, making snowmen, igloos, etc fathers ,mothers and children all taking part. Maybe it is an enforced break, but makes me think, what was wrong with Sundays being days of rest, for families to spend some fun time together, it is so important,, maybe we should go back to having a shutdown on Sundays again,, it can only be a good thing ,i think

Completely agree Anna. To add to that..have it a technology free zone...apart from the TV...if its days like this a family movie day by the fire is nice.

I was just thinking the same thing, Anna. Kids out playing and having fun, and families out walking together. Instead of being always in the dreaded car.

We're not getting big, soft snowflakes here. It's more like hail the size of sand grains.
I guess it's unusually cold with less than our usual humidity. I dunno, I'm no weather nerd. I've never seen anything quite like it, though.
When I was out yesterday, many paths were clear with the snow blowing about a centimetre off the ground in ripples, a bit like sand on a windy beach. Beautiful, mesmerising and bizarre to watch.
