deviant_slice: They're greedy bullies. Had to put up caged feeders so the little birds would get something. Now we're just wick with cats so not many birds about. Could do with a couple of eagles to whisk them off somewhere.
I like starlings. As I say, they eat stuff that other birds won't.
I have a caged feeder too. I feed the bigger birds outside of it though. They all need to eat. They are all part of the ecosystem.
Miwagi: They need to survive by their own devices. Not by the handouts of man. And foxes can carry rabies. It's not cool to do what this woman has been doing just to amuse a few people on youtube.
Mankind has taken over a lot of the land that wildlife had for hunting in. Feeding them is just payback.

I would have expected a more reasoned response from you Molly. That's Alaska for godsake. No need to feed eagles or foxes there. It's not a friggin zoo.

Not going to argue with you Miwagi. You're entitled to your opinion. The closest some of us get to helping out nature is putting out bird feeders and maybe feeding a hedgehog. Isn't the most important thing that the animals survive, whether by their own devices or with a little helping hand?

Wow You guys must not get National Geographic Explorer or the Nature Channel over there. It's not "my" opinion, it's the considered opinion of wildlife biologists everywhere.. You know survival of the fittest, that sort of thing.
