How long does green dot stay on after you log off? (27)

I am not sure eather. It should switch off when you log off. Some times I don't log off when I am not active and I presume, it could be that when in not active mode that the dot goes off but my name may appear red active.

Here's the deal. Did you ever want to have a look at a profile without them knowing you were looking? I have.
Anyway after looking I notice my green dot is still on, so I don't know if I got busted or not.

Good morning All!
I've wondered about the green button too. Once, I was accused of being in "bed with another man" from someone I had recently connected with by email outside of CS. He saw that I was logged on and presumed I was writing to someone else.
The funny thing was that I had logged on with three devices because I was testing a computer and also walking around with my phone outside of WiFi range, ...but I wasn't actually *doing* anything on the site other than hitting my refresh button and reloading the page!
Hardly "in bed" with someone!!!
Ok, Bear, did you do the voice recording?? I was thinking about it, but they said the "thickest"....I figured my Pink American voice would disqualify me.... (My student has Chromesthesia and she told me she loves the color of my voice... Which raises another interesting topic.... Do we still have the sensations of our vision being changed when we hear a voice? But we are desensitized to it? Like when we are cooking and no longer smell it? Or perfume that is still there, but we don't sense it? Our language reflects it : rose-colored glasses, sanguine eyes, green with envy, etc.....sorry. off topic...)
