I have 8 cats, and I raised their great-grandma from a kitten.
I play rough with my dog's; but I've never played rough with my cats.
I can roll them all onto their backs and rub their bellies; and they love it.
They all have their own relationships with me, and my dog's.
I only have one cat that ever put a claw in me (while purring and remembering nursing)... I call him Puppycat; because he thinks he's a dog, and loves walking the road with us.
There isn't one picture that can sum up life with my cats.
Even my Puppycat would never claw me like in that picture.
My cat was like a small panther. A very dangerous and proud cat, yet so cuddly.
Sometimes I felt like a mouse.
She would grab my clothes with just one claw and pretended that she was not interested in me. Yet, if I tried to move, she would hiss on me. So I had to sit there patiently until she let me go...
I think that those were some power games she played from time to time to remind me who's the owner and who's the pet...
