KremaP: To be honest I don't think flirting is a quality at all...
What do you view it as so, Kremap? Is it not the same aa being charming...being polite...being funny etc....its just an extension of all those three i think

Flirting online isn't much different to flirting face to face...you never know what the other one has in mind actually...no matter what they say... It's tricky...
It depends on the situation that how the person take it with whom you are flirting .. if that person does not have any problem then may be it will not be an issue :)

Well yes i agree with that....when its online your not quite too sure how the other is viewing it...but i guess if you have got to know the person somewhat ( however well we can know each other here ) i cant see it any other way that a bit of harmless fun.

The word quality on it's own is expected to be associated with a positive meaning... I don't see flirting with many people as a positive act, but only when one is seeking the attention of someone they are interested in......

Hi Free.
Yes once its not harming the emotions of the other and both are in agreement that its simply flirting ..its not an issue...probably uncomfortable for some to view maybe but harmless non the less
These days I think a fair number of UK women would feel offended by a man flirting with them and call the police if he did….In the UK a man could be put in prison for approaching a woman and talking to her, so attempting to flirt could mean a life sentence in prison and the chances are he would get more prison time, than a female mass murderer
I thought this was a dating site. Is flirting not a part of that.
What makes flirting a no go area for some.? Why is it seen as a negative.
It gives an impression of not being serious, especially if done excessively with lots of people and when it "crosses the line".
If one is looking for a serious relationship - flirting openly online is not the best way to go. I think it actually reduces the chances to find someone serious. On the other hand, it increases the chances to find someone for a casual relationship.
The more "flirty" someone is, the more attention that person will attract, but it will be not the type of attention one wants if they are interested in serious relationships.
There are many ways to joke and have fun online, without being flirtatious.
