Alcohol, even in quite small* quantities, is a poison and an acknowledged neuro toxin ... so, it does not MAKE you think differently but it will have impacts on how you assess situations?

This is a very interesting thread--thanx OP. I once asked the physician I worked for if there really was such a thing as a "truth" serum. He replied, "Why of course. It's called ALCOHOL!" Now, there is a great deal of validity in that. And, I have known many people who can drink down the moon and still stay likable and nice. (I have never been very moved by someone who tries to apologize for his behavior the next day by way of being smashed....)JMO If you cannot drink and stay courteous and polite than you shouldn't drink.
