MacDonalds is always a safe bet ... predictable and all that!

And, if anyone calls me a cheap skate I'll point to the charming and romantic notion of 'Meet me under the golden arches'

Well, it would be if it weren't attached to the sweatshop eh ;-)

Been to Malaysia whilst vising Singapore - the vibe i got the whole time was something refreshing.

I would go try out the local cuisine...the size of their prawns is out of the world - you can pick what you want to eat from a fish tank laugh

But that might not be something new to you wave

I do not eat at McDonalds, but I like to use the place as a meeting poing for when I buy things online.
It's safer to meet where there is always people and there are cameras.

Hi Heaven, in Osaka make sure you go out to eat the local delicious speciality called ‘okonomiyaki’. It’s a kind of Japanese pancake, but quite different. There are so many okonomiyaki bars in Osaka. You will love it wave

There are different types of okonomiyaki, so I am sure you can find halal.
There is a seafood one....maybe has squid or octopus in it. And I am sure there is vegetarian also. hug

Yes, but the best sakura time can be late March/early April. So if you are there in mid late April, you may be too late. It is so lovely to sit under a cherry tree in full blossom and have a picnic - as you will see all the Japanese doing !
