ChesneyChrist: If you buy somebody's loyalty there's no reason to believe they won't turn against you and hence those at the top can be as lonely and paranoid as a bottomfeeder. From here they can build a kingpin & bottomfeeder alliance around their shared mistrust and contempt for humanity - but none of these people actually like each other.
Consider Trump and his brided pawns of reaction. Trump and 80% of his fans hate the general public, despise the normies and the ordinary in this new wave of populism for people who've never been popular in their lives. They like to pretend they're better than everyone because nobody likes them and more than this they want the human race to suffer for not liking them. Their shared hatred of the mainstream society which rejected them socially is the only thing which keeps them together as a group, but it's a fanatic bond and in a sense it's a loyalty money can't buy you can't put a $ value on this symbiotic cult.

@ Chesney,
Consider Trump and his brided pawns of reaction. Trump and 80% of his fans hate the general public.
A typical response from someone who has lost the election or referendum, and therefore also shows his true face. True face, I am not democratic at all, because I do NOT recognize the choice of the MAJORITY. People choose against the established political world, they have no confidence in it. And they are right!.
