I already know what kind of person I am. Which leaves me free to concentrate on demonstrating it to everyone else.

I've already been here a few months and tell myself that I couldn't be like some people even if I tried.

I and my friend share ownership of a 5 year old adult dog and he acts much older then some do on here.Maturity wise that is.

I'm glad you don't have joint ownership of me, Bearwoman. I would hate to have to behave in a mature fashion.

It is definitely a good way of getting to know people.

I have met several as a result of the public forums, and have yet to be disappointed.

Of course, I chose to meet those particular people too. laugh There are others I would have absolutely no interest in meeting.

Well I certainly think you can tell a lot more about someone, by reading their posts to the forums and blogs......... than you can by just reading their profile.
Twenty years wow, I'll bet you have seen the players change. I'm not so sure I have 20 years left.crying wave

From what I have observed about you I would never wish to meet you.

Generally speaking 'People (Person A) will like people who are like themselves and even then, only to the exact degree that they ARE like themselves'

This makes it easy to dislike anyone - and again - that's to the exact degree that Person A disagree with them.

But the ability to debate anything squarely depends surely on the ability of both sides to be objective, to 'deal with facts, with the actuality of any given situation or topic' ?

Seems to happen very rarely on here ... it tends to get all very emotional and fraught much / most of the time!

Already this week I've been called a Russian troll by one of the intellectually challenged, and another who admits in their post that they don't like me has conceded that I 'made a number of good points'.

One thumbs up One thumbs down

 should I be concerned about being liked, or about being truthful ?
