Another passing day!
I swear
Sometimes I feel this way!

In boredom's thrall
Our lives march on
And
As the days have come
And gone
Dissatisfaction's been our lot
With what we have
And haven't got

And
While we wait
We'll breathe a sigh
And
Sitting here
We'll wonder why

Now
If my little rhyme rings true!
I'll tell you, friend
Here's what you do!
Grab your laptop
And take some time
To type some words
There on the line!
Then send them off
Right here to me!
And
Pretty soon
You're bound to see
An email
Written just for you!
With words of cheer
And much more, too!
Adventure waits
Upon your note!
And you will be SO GLAD you wrote!

So
If you'd like to change your fate!
I tell you, friend
Don't hesitate!
Just take some time to write to me!
Then just sit back
And soon you'll see!
That every day
As dawn breaks through!
You'll have a sense of wonder
Too!
In ALL the minutes of your day!
And JOY
In all you do and say!

You'll find you laugh
When you recall
Some line I wrote
About some fall
I took
When I was just a lad
And how
‘though I was hurtin’
Bad
The only thought that filled my brain
Was
How would I
That fall
Explain?
Could I get down on bended knee?
And tell my mom
"It wasn't me!"
"No ma'am", I'd say
"The Martians came!
I fought the off!
But now I'm lame!
And so you shouldn't punish me!
It's not my fault
I hope you see!
You ought to blame the President!
It was for him
That they were sent!
I didn't ask to have that fight!
I tell you, mom
It's just not right!"

I'll tell you tales
And swear they're true!
About
How I lived in a zoo!
With Monkeys!
Pigs!
And Grizzly Bear!
I SWEAR IT'S TRUE!
I STILL live there!

I'll make you laugh!
I'll touch your heart!
And that, my friend
Is just the start!
You see
I'm NOT your average guy!
I dare to dream!
I laugh!
I cry!
I don't put on a face
You see!
To be someone
Who isn't me!
So
What you see
Is
What you get!
Sooooooo
Now I ask
"You ain't wrote yet?

Get on your job!
You loafer, you!
Type out a page!
Or maybe two!
Then
Send them off to where I'm at!
You think that YOU can handle that?"

As my rhyme comes to an end
There's just one thing
My new found friend
That I will say
And then I’ll go
Just one last thing
For you to know

If you should die before you wake
Well then, my friend
'twould be too late!
If you don't write
And take this chance
If you don't try to dance this dance
Your life will surely pass you by!
And when it comes your turn
To die
Your mind will be filled with regret
For all you haven't done
As yet!
But while you live
It's not too late!
Today
Is just the starting gate!
So
Live your life as if today
Was your last chance
To laugh and play!

Come on, my friend
Let's sing a song!
For now's your chance
To dance along!
To live your life in such a way
That you'll enjoy most every day!
Then
When it comes your turn to die
You won't think back
And wonder why
You didn't take the chance you had
And so
My friend
You won't be sad!
You'll smile and say
"You know
My friend
We had some times
Once
Way back when!
I still recall those times we had!
And friend
You know
Life ain't half bad!
As long as it's filled up with friends
The JOY of life
It never ends!
I'm glad I took the time to write!

Those times were out of sight!
I'm glad for all the times we've shared!
For all those times
When you were there!
For all those things that you did give
That made my life a joy to live!

As this life comes to an end
For all those things
